Hello everyone, hope you are all in great health. For everyone fasting during Ramadan, Ramadan Kareem. I live in Muscat, Oman and here during the month of Ramadan, majority of the people fast for an entire month up until Eid. I have just gotten back from all my travels and hope to stay put for a while. I am meant to do a few shoots now that I am back, but I have to be sensitive to the environment around me especially since the month of Ramadan requires us to be more conservative in our dressing. Never the less, I am also reaching a stage where I hope to bring quality content rather than quantity.
I was in Kochi, Kerala for the last couple of days. While it was pouring in the mornings and at night, the weather was extremely humid during the day. It kinda did something funny with my skin (especially on my face), leaving it dry and extremely stretched out. It feels really rough and bumpy in certain areas (I think its like a heat rash). Upon return my remedies have been application of coconut oil on my face along with Avene Eluage Eye cream and my current night cream being Estée Lauder Revitalizing Supreme. I am not sure what else I should be applying for dryness. If you have any suggestions, do leave me a comment or send me a message.
In Kochi, we stayed at the Brunton Boatyard which belongs to the Casino Group of hotels. For those of you who love history, this quaint hotel established at the Fort Cochin harbor is a accolade to the Victorian period in Kerala. Resurrected from the remains of the Brunton shipyard, this period hotel allows us to experience life in Kerala as was in the 1900's. From cloth fans hung from high ceilings, to a period bar with aged whiskeys, to a courtyard lined with historical artifacts.. this hotel has not missed a mark in allowing its guests to have the full experience of the colonial period. And every dish in its speciality restaurant came with a story from the Portuguese, Dutch and Syrian Christian influence.
As much as I love India, I am always looking forward to leaving and coming back to Oman where I've been brought up my whole life. I am Indian by origin but my heart and soul belongs to Muscat, Oman.
In my last weekly focus I mentioned trying to fit in 3 workouts. I managed to do 2 workouts before I left for India and will actually fit in one today, so in all I think I did manage to fit in 3 workouts. I have been eating anything and everything under the sun. I hope to eat healthier and definitely more protein this week. I plan to fit in 4 workouts this week. Will let you all know how it goes.
