Day 2 of the Condé Nast Conference again blew my mind away with some inspirational talks from the likes of Huda Kattan, Angelica Cheung (editor-in-chief Vogue China), Edgardo Osorio (founder of Aquazurra), Pascal Mouawad, and Tarang Arora (CEO of Amrapali).
I am a huge fan of Huda, the world famous influencer and make-up icon. Hearing her talk almost felt surreal, as it reminded me how dreams are not too far fetched. This multi million dollar entrepreneur started her career with basic makeup vlogs. She now has over 19.1 million followers on Instagram (18.8 while at the conference). I had the opportunity to meet her as she was checking out of the hotel and she seemed so down to earth and sweet. I have to say she loved what I was wearing. If she does expand into fashion, I hope I get to collaborate with her.
She along with many other speakers talked on the globalization trend, where people across the world sported similar styles whether it was makeup or clothes, due to the influence of social media.
Casualization was another point touched on my a few speakers. A good pair of sneakers was never more in fashion than now. Level Shoes with their mini me program are now encouraging moms and daughters and father and sons to wear similar shoes. I don’t have daughters, hence my sons and I will have to wear similar sneakers as I am a huge fan of sneakers myself.
If you ask me what I took away from this conference, I’d say a renewed hope, recharged dreams and boosted confidence. It was a great avenue for networking and I would highly recommend it for those in the fashion, travel and luxury industry.
Now to show you some of the looks I put together:

Had to include this picture with the famous Manish Arora. His love for color and vibrance shows in his uber big personality too. I fell in love with the jacket he was wearing.

As it was a rushed few days, these are just images from my phone. So kindly excuse the clarity.. I will take a few more pics with this outfit in the weeks to come. Love these judo pants and balloon shirt from 5/9 by Trupsel.
