Even though we are at the end of January (yes someone please stop time), here’s wishing all my readers a Happy 2016. Multitudes of people I know embark upon the new-year with aspirations and determination to keep up with profound resolutions. Most resolutions are profusely forgotten within the crux of the first month. There is also no bigger cliché than this and hence I seldom keep resolutions. Ironically we face the most amount of dejection and have the highest level of hope all within the matter of one week, which is from the 29th of December to the 4th of January.
The way I look at it, don’t let the lack of accomplishment of certain goals thwart the probability of the achievement of certain other. Whether its fitness, attitude, temperament, relationships, work or spirituality – Make the decision to change, to become better, to let go of the unhealthy in all facets of life and you will see how you’re year will instinctively be better as You as a person would have changed.
It’s been a busy month for me from having my baby’s first birthday, to organizing his Baptism ceremony and having family from India visit. In the midst of all this I have still managed to keep going to the gym and keep towards my ‘goal’ of an even fitter 2016. Various valid excuses (for eg; tiredness, lack of time, an event to organize) often tried to obscure my vision for the year, but thanks to my hubby, the Elite team members and my Coach, there has not been anything but encouraging words and the drive to keep pushing others to do their best.
We recently had our Elite gym’s night out and this is what I wore for the night.
I have been working hard to tone and strengthen my body. Throughout the year 2016, I hope to share with you some of the exercises I do to train the various parts of my body. There is no greater confidence booster than a toned and strong body.
As you can see from the image above, I had gained a lot of weight in 2014 and 2015 due to pregnancy and breastfeeding. I have lost all my baby weight and have my abs to prove that women can get back into shape post delivery. I am a mom of 2 and if I can do it, so can you.
Hope this motivates you to aspire and accomplish a fitter and healthier self in 2016.
