When it came to cartoons or toys, especially those which boys played with, I can honestly confess: I knew nothing! I always grew up liking very girlie toys. Once I knew I was having a baby, I tried to do the thing most parents did, familiarize myself with nursery rhymes, get acquainted with the latest cartoons and childrens books. I was quite proud of myself up until now thinking I was conversant with most of the cartoons my four year old wanted to watch until my hubby came home from a work trip with this!
The TRASH PACK! For the life of me I hadn’t heard of this amusing yet disgusting collection of toys that are a big craze amongst the kids these days. I had to take a real close look into the can to gather as much information as I could regarding these formidable figurines in front of me.
Icky Stinker, Sludge Slug, Skummy Skull, Spew Shi…. These are just some of the innovative names of the Trashies in the pack. I have to say the box mentioned its for children aged 5 and above but if you were a parent you would whole heartedly agree with me that as long as the toy caused no harm or threatened the safety of your child, you are fine with them playing with it.
‘The Trash Pack: The Gross Gang in your Garbage!’ The logo in itself is as enticing to a child as its off-putting for a parent. But I have to admit, it definitely had my attention and I myself was so intrigued to play with these disgusting yet cute looking garbage. The box in itself came with 20 Trashies that are small, squishy plastic/rubbery figures. They also have a hole at the bottom, to stick your pencil, or to place it on an accessory.
These colorful little slimy creatures can keep a parent and a child busy and occupied for hours together. Josh makes up his own stories behind each of the Trashies and he also mixes and matches and plays it along with his Lego creations. As long as something can keep him busy for an hour or two, I am sold and this is one collection which has kept him intrigued and busy way after the first day he got it.
