I had a rather long sleepless Thursday night. According to Babycenter when a baby is going through a developmental milestone, parents are bound to have sleepless nights. Guess Thursday night was one such night. Liam was rolling all over the bed (yes, we co-sleep) and he kept crying everytime he was on his tummy which was pretty much very 15 minutes. He has started crawling in the last 2 days so it indeed has been a milestone reached. Apart from that he is also teething!! Arrrrghhhh….. The amber beads and the Nelson sachets seem to be working but there are those dreaded nights like my Thursday night. Friday morning all I could do was curl up in bed and feel sorry for myself from the lack of sleep and tiredness. I am grateful that I’m able to juggle a few things but sometimes it just takes a toll on you. Rohit just had to ask how I was doing and the tears just came rolling. I am also human, I get tired and I get exhausted.
Its then that our friends M and J called us out for brunch and boy do I love stepping out for some fresh air. Donno what it is but just something about putting on an outfit and getting some make up on my face completely peps me up. Did I mention the bright smiley faces of both my boys? No matter how tired I am, when they smile for me or give me a hug, I know in my heart it’s all worth it. I wouldn't change being a mommy for anything in this world. Not even a whole night of sleep.
Spending time with my hubby and both my boys as a family is the best time of my week. So for all those tired mommies out there, step out for a coffee or a meal with your family and I promise you, you will feel better.
